Grilling season is officially open. It doesn’t matter if you are using a small Buddy L or the largest gas grill money can buy, these recipes will make your food look and taste like you are the best cook in town.

We all know that even the basic hamburger can become an “outstanding meal” with the right toppings.

1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Molasses
1/8 Teaspoon crushed Cayenne Pepper
1 Cup Steak Sauce [A1, Heinz 57, etc]

Mix all ingredients together in a jar with lid and shake until mixed. Use at room temperature but store in the refrigerator between uses.

I use this sauce for basting my burgers in their last two minutes of cooking and as a dipping sauce when serving steaks. Works great, either way.

3/4 Cup Mayonnaise
1/4 Ketchup
1 Teaspoon Mustard
1/4 Cup Sweet Pickle Relish
1 Teaspoon minced fresh Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste

Whisk all ingredients together then store in refrigerator until needed.
I use this sauce plus a big leaf of lettuce, slice of tomato and onion to make my favorite burger topping.

I use this sauce in my deviled eggs too. I keep it on hand 90% of the time.

1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
1/2 Cup Salsa [Heat of your choice]
1/2 Cup Refried Beans
1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Serve it to your guest to use on their burgers or as a dip with corn chips.

1 Can Condensed Tomato Soup
2 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1/2 Cup Honey
2 Tablespoons Virgin Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon prepared Mustard
Pinch of dried Red Peppers or Dash of Hot Pepper Sauce

Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to simmer and let simmer uncovered for 5-6 minutes. Use this sauce as a baste, not only for your meats, but your vegetables too. This delightful sauce will add a surprise burst of flavor to your meals.

As you can see, most everything I make can be used in several ways. I have found this not only keeps down the cost of making delightful meals but it brings smiles to the faces of your family and friends.
